A couple of weeks ago, I brought a big bundle to Rick's. As a long time resident, I've thought that I could do better than Westbank or Reeds (all time favs but slipped drastically) so I tried out Ricks. First thing to note was the 'three day promise'. OK, not competitive but I wasn't in a hurry. They said 'we'll call you'. Four days later, never did. Drove to the store to find that order wasn't ready. Asked for 'a call', never got it. Went back a couple days later to find that 3 of my shirts were missing. Filled out a description, ask for 'a call'. Week later, no call. Went back, they offered me two shirts. One was not mine. Very nice but 2 sizes larger than mine. Ask for 'a call'. Never got one so drove back. "Owner is going to send us a loss form", we'll call you. No call. Back in two days. "We don't have the form". Back in three days, "here's your form". What? 20+ questions about the shirt, where it was bought, how much, how many times it was worn, ...
if you just want friendly conversation when you are dropping off your dry cleaning, go to jack brown cleaners and pay $8.00 a shirt. for that price they should offer a steak dinner with every order! truthfully, rick’s offers a decent service with no frills. they are very reasonably priced. we have been taking our dry cleaning here for a year and there has been the same occasional stain (that we took back and they fixed it), and button breaks we have experienced at other dry cleaners. the lady that runs it is not very friendly, but i do not go there to make a social call. she is never mean, just all business. i recommend ricks to anyone who needs dry cleaning service often for a darn good price.
We were Rick's customers for years until today. The 'Manager' Jessica refused to re-dry clean a dress shirt that was received as wrinkled because I did not have my receipt and the blue tag was ripped off. I was insulted that she was implying that I had worn it -mind you I had never done this before nor had this issue. So, there we were arguing about policy and after telling her she would lose our business forever she basically said 'see yeah'. I will say she was never cheery and she grinds out any smidge of emotion..so we've moved on to greener pastures. 2 stars for past service.
Don't expect to get your clothes back on time- and when they do come back, some will be missing. New employees every month who act stressed out about their job and show no customer service what so ever... and when you do ask them for the # to call in for customer service, they tell you they "don't have customer service"... That's no lie. NOT WORTH THE $
One and done! Never again.
Quick turnaround and constant level of quality. Staff could be nicer.
Ripped it up and chalked it up to 'lessons learned'. It was a nice shirt but Rick's is a crappy business. One and done.
