I lost my purse (together with few other customers) today between 3:30-4:30. Called police, the officer said there are about 10 report of lost (broken lockers) in the last few weeks at the same location. There is no warning anywhere about the past broke in. Management is not helpful. Some of employees assisted in reporting to police. If there are 10 or more reports of locker broken in last few weeks and no significant responses/actions by management, this is unacceptable. If there is camera, the office should review and report any suspect to the police. Do not tell me the camera is just use by corporate office!
This is my favorite Gold’s! I’m sorry to see that so many people have had negative experiences here, but I haven’t had any serious complaints. Sometimes the shower is a little dirty, but it’s a public shower at a gym!! If you want the royal treatment, go to LifeTime...that’s what $120 a month will get you. I just come here after work to let out some stress/frustration from the day and then go home to my own personal bathroom. If you’re looking for a gym with great machinery, lots of lighting, pool/hot tub/sauna, and easy location...this is as good as it gets in the area!!!
I signed up for a month to month plan and was told that I would be given 30 days to get a refund if I didn't want to continue with my contract, with no discussion of any other requirements to receive the refund. When I went to get the refund after ten days or so I was given a document with a list of things I needed to do, including something that had to be done within the first 7 days, none of which was mentioned to me when I first signed up. Obviously they can't enforce something along those lines without it being in the initial contract I signed, and I reached out to the GM stating as such after getting the run around from the operations manager.
THERE SHOULD BE MORE WARNING AND RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT/OWNER OF THE LOCATION.
Furthermore, our membership is month-by-month, after the locker was broken on July 31st, next day August 1st, stop by to cancel our memberships, cancellation is not effective till OCT 24th. RIFF OFF!
My wife and I signed up but never fit going into our busy schedule. We cancelled within the 30 refund period. Gold’s did the cancellation over the phone and issued a refund.
The management is a joke. Showers never work. December there was no hot water. Now 2 out of the 5 showers work. They show no effort to fix things.
The GM stated he would give me a full refund and cancel the contract, which I appreciated. But, of course, I haven't gotten a refund (been a little under 20 days) but am instead being charged by Golds Gym for November even though the contract should be cancelled. Either they're messing with me or there's some oversight/incompetence, but overall not totally surprising. The reason I wanted to cancel in the first place is I was talking about my new gym membership with a buddy who competes in lifting competitions and he told me that Golds Gym had a reputation for being shysters, so I guess mea culpa for not doing the research beforehand.
