I went to Dumitrescu for many years. At first things weren't so bad, but after several failed injections we had a visit where he simply gave up on treating me. Told me flat out that I would never get better, there was nothing else to try, and that I would be on pain medication for years without a foreseeable end.
Dr. Dumitrescu stays on top of the latest treatment and spends time with you explaining everything. He is patient, heart felt and knowledgeable. The staff are great, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend him if you suffer from pain.
Finally found a doctor who actually LISTENED to my issues and didn't write them off. Wish i would have found him years ago. Staff was also very caring and considerate.
I was devasted by this visit, and went to another pain management doctor for a second opinion without much hope - wherein multiple other options were presented. The only positive thing I can say is that at least the last visit here was so bad that I sought another doctor to go to that turned out to be a huge help.
I felt very comfortable with Dr. Dumitrescu. He was able to see me quickly and he viewed my MRI with solid findings and explanations for my pain. Together we found a path forward to help me regain some strength and help ease my discomfort. I feel he tries to avoid heavy medication and really wants to help me to work through the issues I face. I recommend this doctor highly.
I was amazed at the amount of time Dr. Dumitrescu spent with me during my initial visit. He fully explained the possible causes of my pain. After the MRI, he translated the results in a way I could understand. Dr. Dumitrescu is very attentive, and he truly cares about his patients.
